Focus of the Role

The Client Executive plays a pivotal role in driving business growth by building trusted partnerships with Telstra’s most strategic customers. This is a customer-facing role focused on delivering tailored solutions, fostering collaboration, and creating long-term value. Success requires a deep understanding of customer priorities, the ability to uncover high-value opportunities, and a relentless commitment to achieving impactful sales outcomes.

What You’ll Do

Telstra Enterprise - Industry & Corporate provides strategic guidance and support to Telstra's business units, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and effective management of key risks and opportunities.

Location & Work Arrangement

  • Location: Perth, Western Australia (WA). This role is Perth-based only; candidates must reside in WA and be able to work from Perth.

  • Work pattern: Hybrid (office/client site as required).

  • Travel: Occasional travel to customer sites within WA and, where required, interstate or international.

Account Context

This role manages a key strategic mining account with significant operations in Western Australia and globally. You will act as a trusted advisor, nurturing the health of our customer relationship and unlocking growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish, grow and maintain strategic customer relationships through a deep knowledge of the customer’s business and Telstra’s services/products to deliver exceptional experiences, high NPS and profitability.

  • Develop and execute customer contact/engagement plans to retain and grow core telecommunications and emerging technology revenue across assigned portfolios.

  • Apply market insights and a strong understanding of the customer’s strategy to identify and shape new business opportunities.

  • Lead commercial, business and technical discussions that present compelling solutions (ICT, security, workplace and application solutions) to C-suite executives and key stakeholders.

  • Collaborate across Telstra (e.g., Business Development Managers, Solution Specialists, Functional Specialists) to qualify and drive portfolio growth opportunities and achieve revenue and profitability targets.

  • Facilitate customer initiatives (e.g., advisory workshops, strategic planning sessions) that drive material retention and growth outcomes.

  • Identify and act on aged debtor risks within delegated portfolios, coordinating with relevant teams to resolve issues.

About You

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders effectively.

  • A proven record of stakeholder management and building strong professional relationships that drive strategic outcomes.

  • Expertise in managing end-to-end sales processes with sound commercial acumen.

  • Ability to navigate complex relationship hierarchies and coordinate internal resources for customer outcomes.

  • Strong knowledge of the ICT industry and contemporary technology solutions.

  • Problem-solving abilities, collaborative teamwork skills, and a proactive growth mindset.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
