IMC in Sydney is growing its business strategy team. The qualified individual will develop and implement strategic priorities in close collaboration with IMC's Sydney leadership and Strategy team, the global Management Board and Global Head of Business Strategy in Amsterdam. The position will be based in Sydney.
Are you a Consultant or former-Consultant at a top tier consultancy firm, ready to give your career a boost in industry? Do you have an affinity for financial markets and knowledge of market structures? Do you enjoy solving strategic challenges and seeing change happen in real life?
Your Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead Strategic planning cycle and regularly assess progress against strategic goals
  • Enable change to happen and drive real business impact by supporting the execution of defined priorities.
  • Support identification and definition of strategic priorities in close collaboration with IMC leadership, leading or participating in specific business projects to help IMC achieve its rapid growth ambitions while having a "seat at the table" with the IMC Sydney leadership team.
  • Develop a perspective on industry trends/developments as well as the competitive landscape.
  • Become a member of the business strategy team, locally and globally.
  • Report to the APAC Business Strategist Lead in the Sydney office.


Your Skills and Experience:

  • Consultant at a top-tier consulting firm, ideally at the project leader level or equivalent, with experience in internal strategy/ business development within the industry considered a plus.
  • Outstanding problem solving and people skills
  • Strong quantitative background within physics, math, econometrics or related fields.
  • Previous or current exposure to the financial services industry preferred (developed either as a consultant or within prior roles).
