We’re looking for a commercially minded Finance Business Partner to support the financial and administrative operations across the wider Sime Motor Group, with a strong focus on our Commercial Sales functions.

Reporting to the Senior Business Partner – Commercial Sales, you’ll work closely with senior leaders to turn data into insights, influence decision‑making, and help shape the future of our business. This role offers genuine exposure to sales operations, strategic planning, and senior stakeholders across a large, diverse organisation.

What you’ll be doing

• Partnering with Commercial Sales leaders to provide clear, timely financial analysis and commercial advice
• Using data analytics and reporting to identify trends, uncover insights, and support business performance
• Contributing to strategic and financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities
• Translating complex financial information into practical, easy‑to‑understand insights for stakeholders at all levels
• Supporting strong governance, compliance, and risk management, including engagement with internal and external auditors
• Reviewing and improving processes and internal controls — your ideas for doing things better are welcome
• Building a deep understanding of our business, market, and key drivers, and using this knowledge to influence outcomes

What you’ll bring

• At least 5 years’ experience in accounting, ideally in a commercial environment
• Strong experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
• A relevant degree and full membership with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ)
• A solid technical foundation across accounting standards, management reporting, legislation, and commercial finance
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, with the confidence to challenge and influence
• Automotive industry exposure is advantageous, but not essential
