About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Strategy & Planning Director to support the Country Leadership Office in the Philippines a cross all regional and strategic priorities .
This leader will serve as a strategic advisor and integrator, aligning regional and enterprise priorities across all in-country business lines and functional teams. This leader will also provide local leadership for other COO functions present in the Philippines. The role is critical in fostering unified geographic leadership to:
In this role, you will:
  • Manage and develop multiple business functional areas with focus on implementing and delivering long-term strategies, policies, and process advancements for cross-functional stakeholders, and internal and external partners associated with the area of Business Execution or who are affected by its outcomes
  • Identify Business Execution opportunities and strategies for process improvement and risk control development over the long-term in order to ensure operational excellence and process efficiency
  • Lead Business Execution team for assigned initiatives ensuring solutions are designed, integrated, and controlled to improve effectiveness, limit risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriate
  • Interpret and develop a range of policies and procedures for long-range and fundamental retooling of perspective, approach, culture, quality, relationships, operations, and capabilities
  • Collaborate and influence functional management to obtain resources, influence outcomes, address conflict, and ensure alignment with Wells Fargo strategies or policies and business line objectives
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Business Execution
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, including Management or leadership experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of management or leadership experience

  • 8+ years of experience in Management, Strategy, Operations Delivery, and Planning, demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
  • 4+ years of leadership experience managing large-scale, multi-functional teams across diverse business areas.
  • Proven senior leadership in a global capability center, with expertise in business planning, operations, and navigating corporate and regulatory environments.
  • Strong track record of leading global transformation programs aligned with enterprise-wide strategic objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in matrixed organizations, with strong influencing and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Skilled in managing senior global stakeholders and fostering cross-functional collaboration to deliver strategic outcomes.
  • Proficient in leveraging data analytics and business intelligence for decision-making, performance reporting, and governance.
  • Financially astute, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization.
Job Expectations:
  • Work with the country head for the Philippines and regional head of COO function in setting and driving organizational strategy for the region.
  • Provide strategic leadership to design and implement solutions for complex, enterprise-wide challenges.
  • Lead regional business planning and annual goal-setting, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities.
  • Oversee the execution of strategic initiatives, ensuring integration, risk mitigation, and operational efficiency.
  • Drive complex management programs that impact regional operations and talent.
  • Ensure robust governance and risk management by aligning with the three lines of defense and enterprise frameworks.
  • Streamline planning and execution through process optimization and standardized tools.
  • Collaborate with global teams to align regional priorities with enterprise-wide strategies.
  • Influence cross-functional leaders to secure resources, resolve conflicts, and drive strategic outcomes.
  • Build strong partnerships with Finance, HR, Technology, Risk, Audit, and Operations to support business execution.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on talent development and leadership growth.
  • Oversee multiple business functions, driving long-term strategies and operational improvements.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process innovation, risk control, and operational excellence.
