Are you a driven professional with a passion for growth, partnerships, and leading market expansion? Diversey is on the lookout for a Business Development Manager to drive growth within the Building Service Contractors (BSC) sector across Australia.

In this high-impact role, you’ll lead strategic growth initiatives, manage key relationships, and drive profitable expansion across the BSC segment.

About the role:

The Business Development Manager will lead the BSC sector strategy across Australia with full accountability for delivering sustainable and profitable growth. You will play a pivotal role in driving business performance, strengthening distributor partnerships, and aligning with broader commercial objectives.

You will be responsible for:

Growth & Profitability

  • Drive top- and bottom-line growth across the BSC sector
  • Achieve and exceed revenue, profitability, and margin targets
  • Develop and execute sector strategies to increase market share across all product lines, including TASKI
  • Identify and implement initiatives to improve short- and long-term performance
  • Optimize pricing and margin management within approved guidelines

Customer & Market Leadership

  • Build strong relationships with key BSC customers, distributors, and decision-makers
  • Identify emerging customer needs and translate them into growth opportunities
  • Lead engagement with major accounts, including reviews and strategic planning sessions
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships
  • Strengthen presence and influence within the BSC industry network

Sales Execution & New Business

  • Identify, pursue, and win new business opportunities across distributor partners and end users
  • Lead major deal negotiations and support high-value account acquisition
  • Expand business through multi-product selling and solution-based approaches
  • Support sales teams in winning and growing key accounts

Sales Leadership & Capability Building

  • Guide and support distributor sales teams through coaching and in-field engagement
  • Deliver training programs on new business development, product offerings, and competitive positioning
  • Build strong collaboration between internal teams and external partners
  • Foster a high-performance, growth-focused sales culture

Sales Planning & Reporting

  • Accurately forecast sales and revenue across monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles
  • Track performance against KPIs including revenue, margin, and market share
  • Ensure CRM systems and reporting tools are consistently updated
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting to leadership
  • Participate in regular business reviews and planning cycles

What you need to be successful

  • 5–10 years of experience in business development or sales within a B2B environment
  • Strong experience or network within the BSC industry (highly preferred)
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and managing key accounts
  • Strong commercial acumen, including pricing and P&L understanding
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience working with distributor networks and channel partners
  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Self-driven, proactive, and results-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
  • Willingness to travel across regions
