About Prezzee

Prezzee is a global leader in digital gifting and payments, having sold over 140 million gift cards through partnerships with more than 1,500 brands and serving over 6 million customers worldwide. Our mission is to change lives through the power of giving — leveraging borderless payment technology and innovative digital solutions to help people connect and create memorable moments that truly matter.

About The Role

The Business Development Manager is primarily responsible for proactively researching organisations and identifying new Prezzee Pay closed-loop business opportunities, developing new relationships and arranging business development meetings with prospective clients. Prezzee Pay Closed Loop / White Label cards enable partners to launch fully branded programs quickly and cost-effectively, with no POS integration or development required. Transactions run seamlessly online and in-store worldwide, settlement processes remain unchanged, and staff onboarding is minimal - delivering efficiency at scale while providing spend insights that empower stronger loyalty strategies and measurable business growth. Beyond this, Prezzee Pay can power gifting within shopping centres, lock spend to a council or area, create cards to only allow use at specific categories and more. The opportunities are endless.

Hybrid role, based in Sydney CBD OR Melbourne CBD office

What You’ll Do:

  • Identify target businesses across retail, hospitality, corporate, and B2B sectors that don’t yet have a gift card or rewards program.
  • Generate leads through outbound prospecting, industry research, events, and referrals.
  • Prospect and pitch to new clients and build enduring relationships.
  • Self-motivated to build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities, tracking progress through to close.
  • Conduct compelling product demonstrations that translate Prezzee Pay’s capabilities into clear business value for each prospect.
  • Formulate, implement and manage strategic business plans for closed-loop Prezzee Pay opportunities.
  • Lead commercial negotiations end-to-end, structuring deals that work for both Prezzee Pay and the partner.
  • Prepare and respond to RFPs and tenders with compelling, commercially sound proposals.
  • Understand and apply Prezzee Pay’s commercial levers to build flexible, value-driven proposals.
  • Work with both internal and external stakeholders to maximise closed-loop opportunities. Be the internal product SME as it relates to sales.
  • Achieve Prezzee Pay targets, meeting individual KPIs
  • Work closely with the Prezzee Pay delivery team, customer care and tech teams to address key issues that need to be resolved.

What are we looking for:

  • Proven (6+ years) in partnerships, business or corporate development with desired experience in Program Management in the digital gifting industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of program management methods, technologies, and regulations.
  • Strong network and successful track record with excellent deal negotiation and commercial structuring skills.
  • A true hunter mentality in sourcing new business and chasing leads.
  • Experience in negotiating and managing regional partnership agreements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Strong financial acumen and a proven track record in driving profitable growth.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with partners and stakeholders.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
