About the role:
As a Business Development Manager, you’ll drive growth across Victoria by expanding Plenti’s broker network and increasing utilisation across our consumer lending products. You’ll focus on acquiring new partners, strengthening aggregator relationships, and delivering strong commercial outcomes across your territory. This is a field-based role suited to a proactive, relationship-driven BDM who thrives on building connections, spotting opportunities, and owning results.
Key responsibilities:
- Identify, onboard, and grow new broker accounts across Victoria, building a strong and sustainable pipeline
- Develop and execute territory and sales strategies to drive growth, increase market share, and maximise portfolio performance
- Build and strengthen relationships with brokers and aggregator partners to drive engagement, utilisation, and share of wallet
- Promote Plenti’s Personal Loan and Automotive products, ensuring strong brand presence in market
- Deliver training, coaching, and ongoing support to brokers to improve product knowledge, conversion, and performance
- Monitor broker performance, analyse trends, and implement strategies to optimise volume, quality, and outcomes
- Stay across market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify opportunities and inform strategy
- Represent Plenti at industry events and act as a key brand ambassador
- Collaborate with Relationship Managers and cross-functional teams to deliver a seamless broker and customer experience
- Take full ownership of your territory, operating autonomously while contributing to broader team success
About you:
You’re a commercially astute, relationship-led BDM with a proven ability to win new business and build enduring partnerships. You bring strong market insight, resilience, and the drive to consistently deliver results within the broker landscape.
- 3+ years’ experience in Business Development within financial services
- Experience working with brokers, aggregators, or third-party distribution channels
- Strong track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
- Established network within the broker or aggregator space (highly regarded)
- Solid understanding of lending products and credit assessment
- Confident communicator with strong influencing and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working autonomously in a field-based role
