Job Summary

The Business Development Manager is responsible for the sales role for Professional Software in a specified territory within Australia.
The is a crucial role within the Wolters Kluwer Professional Software Sales team and positioned within the growth side of the business. The role expectation is to drive sales that translate to sustainable revenue growth within a territory.

This role activities includes leading the prospecting and sales cycle from generating and identifying new opportunities, gathering prospect requirements via discovery, solutioning (with presales assistance), presentation and generating proposals to gain a winning outcome. With an overall goal to make quota, increase sales and profitability in the targeted segment.
We offer hybrid working and this role can be based in our Macquarie Park (Sydney) or Bourke Street (Melbourne) office.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a Professional Software Sales Territory
  • Deliver revenue targets; Build, maintain and execute your territory account plan, showing your path to success to target
  • Generate and identify prospects and conduct research to support your consultative approach to selling
  • Following up on new leads and referrals from our marketing initiatives, sales support teams and other sources
  • Diagnose prospective client needs and present solutions offered within the Enterprise Software suite
  • Preparing presentations, proposals, sales quotes, and contracts
  • Manage senior client executive relationships
  • Own and accurately manage your sales forecast
  • Accurate and timely use of sales systems and processes such as SFDC
  • Participating in seminars, road shows, sales conferences, and other events
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to support the sales process, Sales Op’s & Support, Commercial, Marketing, Product, Legal and Consulting teams
  • Live and promote the Wolters Kluwer values.

  • Experienced in new logo business technology and enterprise business application sales
  • Solution selling and consultative sales approach
  • An exceptional ability to influence sales outcomes
  • Ability to generate winning proposals and lead presentations to prospects
  • Results focused, drives to success, stays positive, shows discipline and resilience
  • Ability to work with urgency in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work unsupervised & develop outcomes to meet targets
  • Tax/Accounting background is highly desirable
