We are seeking a sharp, high-performing Business Development Manager to accelerate our growth across Melbourne and the wider region. In this pure "hunter" position, you will be responsible for identifying target accounts, building a robust pipeline from scratch, and closing high-value deals.

  • You won’t be managing legacy accounts; your focus will be entirely on new customer acquisition and driving revenue growth.
  • Proactively identify, qualify, and secure new enterprise and mid-market business opportunities.
  • Map out target key decision-makers and execute strategic cold outreach, networking, and prospecting campaigns.
  • Lead end-to-end sales cycles—from initial contact and tailored pitch presentations through to negotiation and contract execution.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our product suite to position high-value solutions to prospective clients.
  • Exceed monthly and quarterly gross profit and revenue targets.

Requirements

What We Are Looking For:

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting: Develop and implement effective strategies for lead generation, including cold outreach, networking, and leveraging existing contacts.
  • Sales Cycle Management: Manage the entire sales cycle from initial contact to contract negotiation and closing deals, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  • Proposal Development: Create compelling and tailored proposals, presentations, and sales materials that clearly articulate the value proposition of our products/services.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline status, and client interactions using CRM software, and provide regular reports to management.
  • New Business Development: Proven success closing new business in enterprise or mid-market B2B sales.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Experience selling across varied stakeholder levels, from operational contacts through to senior decision-makers.
  • Work Authorization: Eligible to work in Australia.
  • Experience: 5+ years of business development or sales experience preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in CPaaS preferred.

  • Competitive salary of 95,000-105,000 AUD per year plus Super.
  • Additional $33,000 On-Target-Earnings over performance is uncapped uncapped and we pay 22.4% of recognised GP each month
