About the Role

We are seeking strong Business Development Manager for South West Region (Vic, SA, WA & Tas) in our Modernisation team focused on Major Projects. You will be the key driver in identifying, developing, and securing large‑scale upgrade opportunities.

You will work closely with a variety of our customers to analyse aging assets, propose tailored upgrade solutions, and lead tendering processes that position KONE as the partner of choice.

This role is ideal for a proactive, commercially savvy sales professional who thrives on building long‑term relationships and navigating complex projects.

This role will based in Melbourne office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate major modernisation opportunities aligned with regional business goals.

  • Lead early engagement activities and tender submissions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and competitive positioning.

  • Develop customised upgrade proposals based on lifecycle needs, compliance requirements, sustainability objectives, and building usage.

  • Influence specification development with consultants and industry partners.

  • Manage complex multi‑equipment upgrade proposals, including staging and continuity planning.

  • Collaborate with Modernisation Operations to build costings, risk assessments, and implementation strategies.

What You Bring

  • Proven success in business development, account management, or sales

  • Experience in construction, engineering, or a related technical industry preferred

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing decision‑makers at all levels.

  • Ability to navigate complex selling processes and articulate value‑based solutions.

  • Proactive, customer‑focused approach with a passion for delivering exceptional results.
