About the Role

We’re looking for a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join our VIC/TAS team, playing a key role in driving growth in personal and secured auto loans written by strengthening our key broker partnerships. This role is an opportunity for you to make your impact across the VIC/TAS region, backed by our high performing team across Australia. 

You know that success comes from building deep, strategic relationships and you thrive when making a tangible impact in a fast paced, ever changing environment. 

There will be some travel required as part of the role, typically 3 days per week. As Wisr’s head office is based in Sydney, you are comfortable working remotely. 

What you’ll do: 
• Build and nurture new and existing active broker relationships via regular in person, zoom and telephone contact while driving personal and team business targets in VIC/TAS.
• Partner closely with Relationship Managers to identify and implement growth opportunities within your allocated territory. 
• Showcase Wisr products and services and representing Wisr across all channels including in person meetings, workshops and industry events. 
• Build upon and further develop relationships with broker aggregators along with identifying growth opportunities. 
• Collaborate closely with other members of Wisr’s Growth team and Operational team members, ensuring an exceptional customer and broker experience. 
• Work with the Head of Broker to identify challenges and opportunities to drive continued growth across your region.

About You

You are an experienced sales professional with a strong background in consumer lending. You have had experience in a BDM role or are currently an experienced broker looking to move into a BDM position.

With a bright and outgoing personality, you are target driven and love to make a difference in everything that you do. You are an excellent verbal communicator and are passionate about building your professional network. You’ll also have: 
 
• Proven success in consumer lending, with a strong understanding of the industry in which we work.  
• Strong knowledge in lending and credit processes in consumer lending
• A proactive approach and a self starter mindset with the ability to work autonomously. 
• Strong time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities. 
• Ability to work effectively while travelling and meeting clients remotely. 

Please note: Due to travel required as part of the role, you will be required to have your own car and valid Australian Drivers' License.
