Position Overview

As the Business Development Manager for Hunter Douglas in QLD, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities across our product portfolio while nurturing and expanding relationships with existing clients. This role plays a key part in driving sales growth, increasing gross profit, and achieving strategic KPIs within the region. You will act as a commercial leader, engaging customers through a consultative approach and delivering tailored solutions that reflect Hunter Douglas' commitment to innovation and quality.

What you'll do

  • Develop and maintain a network of Window Fashion Gallery dealers, Showcase Dealers, and other resellers in line with demographic and marketing criteria.
  • Grow market share by servicing existing wholesale dealers and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Drive sales growth within the dealer network through strategic territory planning and execution.
  • Build strong relationships with dealers to support long-term, consultative sales partnerships.
  • Support business planning with dealers, focusing on advertising and promotional initiatives.
  • Ensure timely communication and implementation of wholesale marketing programs.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform strategy.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, manage sales pipeline, and meet annual safety KPIs.
  • Travel across QLD as required to effectively service and grow the dealer network.

Who you are

  • Proven success in a B2B business development or field sales role.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills across all levels of an organization.
  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to independently manage time, travel, and territory with a results-driven mindset.
  • Creative thinker with strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Comfortable presenting to small and large groups, including executive-level stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships in complex sales environments.
