About the role

Reporting to the Sales Manager, we are seeking a driven Business Development Manager – Microsoft to accelerate growth across our Microsoft Security portfolio.

This is a true hunter/business development role, focused on new partner acquisition, pipeline generation, revenue growth, and expanding the Security channel. We are looking for someone who hustles, creates opportunities, picks up the phone, and is confident engaging with senior and C-suite stakeholders.

You will work closely with Microsoft, vendors, partners, and internal teams to identify opportunities and deliver commercial growth. Microsoft or Microsoft Security experience is a plus but not required. Experience with Microsoft SureStep is also advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new business, pipeline, revenue, and margin growth across Microsoft Security.
  • Identify and acquire new partners and develop existing channel opportunities.
  • Build strong relationships with vendors, partners, and C-suite stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute business development and territory plans.
  • Work with Microsoft and the Vendor Manager on growth initiatives, including SureStep.
  • Understand partner business needs and translate opportunities into commercial outcomes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to convert pipeline into revenue.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, reporting, and pipeline management.
  • Consistently achieve and exceed sales and growth targets.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience in Business Development, Channel Sales, Partner Sales, Vendor Management, or technology sales.
  • Strong hunter mentality and proven ability to generate new business.
  • Vendor/channel experience within the Australian technology market.
  • Strong commercial and business acumen.
  • Confident communicating with senior and C-suite stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • IT distribution, cybersecurity, cloud, or technology experience is highly desirable.
  • Microsoft, Microsoft Security, and/or SureStep experience is a plus, not a requirement.
