Reporting Line

Reports to: National Sales Manager – ANZ
Works closely with: Sales, Channel Partners, Service & Calibration Labs, Marketing, Product Management, Regional & Global Fluke Calibration teams

Role Purpose

The Business Development Manager – Fluke Calibration (ANZ) is responsible for driving revenue growth, market penetration, and strategic adoption of Fluke Calibration hardware, software, and services across Australia and New Zealand.

This role focuses on developing new business opportunities, expanding channel and service partner capability, and building strong relationships with calibration laboratories, industrial end users, and government organisations.
The BDM will translate global Fluke Calibration strategy into locally executed growth initiatives while providing structured market intelligence back into the business.

Key Responsibilities Business Development & Growth
  • Develop and execute ANZ business development plans to achieve Fluke Calibration revenue, growth, and market share targets.
  • Identify and convert new opportunities across primary and secondary calibration labs, industrial users, and regulated industries.
  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and opportunity tracking.
  • Support strategic growth across key calibration disciplines including Electrical, Temperature, Pressure, Process, and Software‑enabled Calibration
Channel, Service & Lab Engagement
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with calibration service providers, accredited labs, and distribution partners across ANZ.
  • Support partners with joint business planning, opportunity development, and solution positioning.
  • Enable partners through training, demonstrations, and application‑based selling.
  • Support initiatives to grow service plans, care plans, and calibration lifecycle offerings where applicable.
Key Accounts & Strategic Customers
  • Build strong relationships with government, defence, utilities, mining, pharma, aviation, and industrial customers.
  • Support complex or strategic opportunities requiring direct engagement, solution design, or executive alignment.
  • Position Fluke Calibration as a trusted partner in accuracy, traceability, compliance, and uptime, not just a product supplier.
Market Intelligence & Strategy Feedback
  • Collect and share voice‑of‑customer, competitive intelligence, and market insights to inform pricing, GTM strategy, and product development.
  • Provide structured input into forecasting, demand planning, and portfolio strategy.
  • Act as the ANZ conduit to regional and global Fluke Calibration teams.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams on campaigns, NPIs, and vertical initiatives.
  • Support internal training to ensure sales teams are confident in calibration applications, value propositions, and customer use cases.
  • Contribute to ANZ planning cycles, QBRs, and strategic reviews.

  • Fluke Calibration revenue growth and market share (ANZ)
  • New business and pipeline creation

  • Forecast accuracy and pipeline hygiene
  • Adoption of strategic calibration solutions and services
Skills & Experience Essential
  • Proven experience in business development, channel sales, or key account management within a technical or B2B environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to engage technical, operational, and commercial stakeholders.
  • Experience working with distribution, service partners, or solution‑based sales models.
  • Ability to manage a regional territory and work autonomously.
Desirable
  • Background in calibration, test & measurement, instrumentation, quality, metrology, or industrial services.
  • Experience engaging with calibration labs, regulated industries, or government customers.
  • Exposure to global or matrix organisations.
