Job Description

We’re looking for a driven and relationship-focused Key Account Manager to help us scale Leafio – Montu’s fast-growing wholesale division. You'll be the go-to person for a portfolio of pharmacy partners, helping them grow with our category-leading medical cannabis products and delivering an exceptional service experience.

In this hybrid role, you will drive growth by acquiring new business while nurturing existing pharmacy partnerships. Your primary focus will be to increase order volume in your territory (North Sydney, Chatswood, Hornsby, Ryde, Macquarie Park, Dee Why, Manly, Mosman, Epping, Pennant Hills, Castle Hill, Rouse Hill, Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Newcastle) with occasional visits to Canberra.

What you’ll be doing

  • Owning and growing a portfolio of 30–60 pharmacies, with full accountability for account success and order volume
  • Building strong, trust-based relationships with partners – you’ll be their first call
  • Developing account plans, working to growth targets, and celebrating wins
  • Supporting pharmacy staff to consolidate ordering through Leafio
  • Nurturing new accounts from first order to maturity
  • Generating new leads and referrals through pharmacy relationships
  • Keeping an ear to the ground – you’ll share insights to help shape product and marketing strategy
  • Managing your pipeline and results with clear reporting and collaboration

As part of the Montu ecosystem, Leafio works directly with thousands of pharmacies all across the country, providing them with a comprehensive range of alternative healthcare brands and products. Aiming to provide product on-demand and on time, its east coast-based warehouses dispatch every day of the week to a network of more than 3,000 pharmacies around Australia.

Qualifications

We're looking for someone with a true hunter mentality, driven to seek out and win new business, grow market presence, and uncover fresh opportunities every day.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • A confident communicator who builds trust and influence easily in healthcare environments.
  • Experienced in field sales, business development, or account management—ideally within fast-moving, short sales cycle industries.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a track record of delivering results while working independently on the road.
  • A natural team player, equally at ease in front of clients and when collaborating cross-functionally to share insights and drive strategy.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly (4–5 days per week).

Additional Information

You'll be joining a high-performing, fast-paced team where your work drives meaningful impact in a leading tech company at the intersection of healthcare. We take pride in our driven and results-focused culture, where ambitious individuals can push the boundaries of innovation and contribute to better outcomes for Australians.

Other benefits include:

  • Gaining access to SAGED courses and more through the Greenhouse learning platform, fostering continuous growth and development.
  • Enjoying discounts with over 450 retailers through our Reward and Recognition platform.
  • The freedom of a full-time, work-from-home role.
  • Access to co-working spaces in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and select regional cities.
  • Mental health support through our wellbeing platform, Unmind.
  • A private health insurance discount through Medibank.
  • Up to 8 weeks of paid parental leave.
  • Swag kits to celebrate key milestones in your journey with us.
  • Enhance your home office with our work from home equipment allowance benefit.
  • Being part of one of the fastest-growing industries in Australia, improving the lives of hundreds of thousands of patients.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
