Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking a Business Development Commercial Manager to join its organization.
Responsibilities:

  • Assess market potential for the range of existing markets and assist in developing a plan to penetrate and maximize opportunities to grow the commercial ship repair, structural fabrication, and related maritime adjacent markets.
  • Assist in creating a winning campaign within a commercial ship repair and/or other maritime services, win executable business, lead the sales pursuit from opportunity identification through transition to contract execution.
  • Understand the marketing and sales strategy and position our commercial team to win work.
  • Assess market potential for existing markets and develop plans to enter new or lateral markets within commercial maritime services.
  • Assist in development of proposal strategy, including pursuit analysis, bidding strategies, technical presentations, win strategy, unique capabilities, and pricing.
  • Work with and communicate with stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Align plans with program and operations planning.
  • Provide recurring reports to include weekly summaries of activities and status of opportunities, as well as specific response to data calls for recurring reviews.


Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years' experience or equivalent education/experience
  • Knowledge of Commercial Ship Repair/Maritime Industry, marine fabrication, and developing business opportunities
  • Proactive aptitude and desire to perform at a high level in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated success in pursuing multiple opportunities simultaneously at various stages of the opportunity lifecycle
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Familiarity with CRM software/systems
  • Experience with various contract types and pricing strategies, including competitor assessments


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $133333 - $226667
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
