What you’ll do 

As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting Agile delivery within government programs, working across business and technology stakeholders to define, shape, and deliver solutions in a regulated environment. The role focuses on end-to-end business analysis, including requirements elicitation, process mapping, and translation of business needs into actionable delivery artefacts.

Operating within cross-functional Agile teams, you will work closely with Product Owners, architects, and delivery teams to ensure clear alignment between business objectives and technical implementation. This role requires strong stakeholder engagement, structured analysis, and the ability to maintain traceability from requirements through to delivery while adhering to client governance and compliance standards.

Due to the secure nature of this role, we are needing candidates that has Australian citizenship with preference to those with security clearance.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead requirements gathering activities through workshops, interviews, and stakeholder engagement to define business needs and outcomes
  • Analyse current-state processes and define future-state solutions to support delivery and operational improvements
  • Translate business requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog items to support Agile delivery
  • Facilitate collaboration between business stakeholders, Product Owners, and delivery teams to ensure shared understanding and alignment
  • Develop process maps, documentation, and analysis artefacts to support solution design and delivery readiness
  • Maintain traceability of requirements across the delivery lifecycle, ensuring alignment to business outcomes and compliance needs
  • Support delivery activities including testing, validation, and implementation to ensure solutions meet business requirements

Here’s what you need

  • Atleast 5 years of proven experience as a Business Analyst within Agile delivery environments, preferably within Australian Government or regulated sectors
  • Strong experience in requirements elicitation, process analysis, and translating business needs into delivery-ready artefacts
  • Demonstrated ability to work across business and technical stakeholders to drive alignment and delivery outcomes
  • Experience with Agile practices including backlog management, user stories, and iterative delivery
  • Strong documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience using delivery and documentation tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, DevOps tools)
  • Australian citizenship with at least 3-5years of continuous residence
