About the role
We are currently seeking a Business Analyst to join us across our Core Retail Delivery team; you would be joining a collaborative team work with the merchant, supply chain technology, integration squads; and across our Technology, Digital and Data & Analytics teams in the wider Bunnings technology and business groups.
As a Business Analyst, you will facilitate valuable change to your team and the business, by understanding and analysing the existing business processes, products, services, and systems, identifying the business and customer needs and helping to drive solutions to promote improvement and efficiencies.
You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders and delivery squads to define requirements and solutions to ensure the successful delivery of products/services within your team or project.
What's Involved:
- Develop a deep understanding of the business operating model to elicit and document requirements that enable effective technology solutions.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders, to support and guide the end-to-end discovery and delivery process, including defining user stories, business scenarios, and acceptance criteria.
- Lead scoping and analysis activities, ensuring requirements are clearly understood, agreed upon, and aligned with business and technical standards.
- Provide ongoing support throughout development and QA, offering clarifications, managing risks, and ensuring comprehensive coverage of user stories.
- Actively contribute to agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and planning, while promoting innovation and continuous improvement.
- Leverage data and customer insights to inform decisions, support business goals, and engage in the Business Analysis Community of Practice to drive strategic outcomes.
Who we’re looking for
Your expertise lies in understanding and analysing the existing business’ processes, products, services, and systems, identifying the business and customer needs, and helping drive solutions to promote improvement and efficiencies.
You enjoy working in an agile, outcome-driven team, are self-motivated, enthusiastic and project driven. Your requirements elicitation, analysis and validation of business needs of stakeholders, customers and end users have led to success across your career.
You possess commercial acumen, entrepreneurial flare, exceptional demonstrated stakeholder management and time management skills.
You are a creative and strong communicator (both verbally and written) who is passionate about meeting the project’s needs.
You'll Need:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst working across multiple systems, ideally with exposure to integration, merchandise systems or supply chain platforms.
- Demonstrated experience in eliciting and documenting detailed business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Strong collaboration skills across both technical and business stakeholders including Product Owners, SMEs, and delivery teams to ensure timely project outcomes.
- Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, story breakdown, and structured analysis of business, data, and workflow models.
- Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, workshop facilitation, and knowledge across the Software Development Life Cycle and QA practices.
- Ability to effectively multitask coupled with strong reporting/escalation skills.
- Basic to intermediate SQL skills would be advantageous.
