Job responsibilities
- Assist in gathering and documenting business requirements by collaborating with team members and stakeholders. Participate in interviews and workshops to understand business needs and objectives.
- Support the analysis of existing business processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement. Learn to utilize process mapping techniques to visualize workflows.
- Collect and analyze data to identify trends and insights. Use basic statistical methods and data visualization tools to present findings in a clear manner.
- Develop skills in creating reports and automating routine tasks using tools like Excel, SQL, and other relevant software. Assist in streamlining reporting processes to enhance efficiency.
- Work with senior analysts and development teams to support the design and implementation of solutions that align with business requirements.
- Assist in the planning and execution of projects. Support the development of project plans and timelines and help track progress.
- Maintain open communication with team members and stakeholders to provide updates on project status and deliverables. Participate in meetings to ensure alignment and collaboration.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices. Show a willingness to learn and embrace new technologies and methodologies.
- Assist in creating and maintaining documentation, including business requirements and data analysis reports. Ensure documentation is accurate and accessible.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Basic analytical and problem-solving skills, with an interest in interpreting data and providing insights. Familiarity with Excel
- Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly. Willingness to learn how to create and deliver presentations.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with team members and stakeholders. Willingness to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects while maintaining quality standards.
- Ability to adapt to changing business environments and priorities. Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of business analytics.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Some experience or internships in business analysis, reporting, or related fields is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and software (e.g. SQL) is a plus.
- Experience with Alteryx and Tableau is a plus.
