Q2 is seeking a Business Analyst for our Integrated Services Engagement Team. The Business Analysts (BAs) are key facilitators between business stakeholders and development teams. As the primary point of contact for gathering and defining business, technical, and functional requirements, BAs contribute to the successful execution of projects. This role requires close collaboration across internal clients to drive impactful solutions. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, guiding project delivery while ensuring alignment with client goals and internal processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create diagrams and prototypes when necessary to effectively communicate and clarify requirements for both stakeholders and development teams.
Lead internal and external requirements review meetings to ensure mutual understanding and agreement on project objectives.
Collaborate with developers and testers to ensure client requirements are accurately translated into functional and technical specifications.
Provide timely and clear updates on requirements status, including identifying potential roadblocks, risks, and proposing mitigation strategies.
Gather detailed specifications from clients and third-party vendors, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical feasibility.
Utilize Jira to implement and maintain standardized templates for requirements across all Integrated Services programs.
Ensure consistency in requirements documentation and communications, maintaining detailed records and artifacts.
Uphold all relevant security, confidentiality, availability, compliance, and privacy standards, ensuring adherence to policies and controls.
Lead discussions with clients to elicit, document, and guide project requirements and workflows, ensuring they are well-understood and actionable.
As needed - pull logs, use SQL, and perform data analysis for requirements and triage.
Develop and present use cases, report specifications, and other project deliverables for client and development team approval.
Oversight for bug issue/defects triage.
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in business or project management and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience; or equivalent related work experience.
- Excellent communication skills
- Financial Industry experience with in-depth banking knowledge
- Good interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Motivated by providing excellent Customer Service
- Passion for technology
- Desire to join a winning team, prove yourself, and ramp up quickly
- Experience contributing in an Agile development environment
- Familiarity with a Atlassian product suites, Confluence and Jira
- Experience with Lucid Chart, Miro, Figma or equivalent software
- Informal or academic experience with software development
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements
