About the Role & Team

We’re looking for a passionate individual to join our Griddle team as a Business Analyst. Reporting to our Griddle Head of Product, this role will collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to help define technical business requirements ensuring our schools have a smooth and a successful introduction to Griddle, while also assisting our engineers in building our platform to suit a range of school and jurisdictional requirements.

You will also:

  • Translate our Figma designs and working documents to Jira cards for our engineers. 
  • Work with internal product and delivery teams to ensure the right customer problems are front and centre.
  • Monitor, track and report on the status of key deliverables to ensure outcomes and goals are met.
  • Monitor progress to ensure that the solutions are being implemented according to plan, and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Review technical and compliance specifications to ensure that we meet all jurisdictional requirements and propose solutions to resolve any challenges supporting new market growth.
Requirements

About You

You will have:

  • Experience working in business / technical analysis, working with both simple and complex problems.
  • Critical thinking - The ability to understand and analyse customer problems, find solutions, drive outcomes and work collaboratively with others to solve business challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills - Requirement gathering is a key part of the role, so being able to ask the right questions and understand the information received is very important.
  • Proven documentation and writing skills - The ability to create documents such as use cases and business requirement documents.
  • A passion for problem solving - The ability to create simple solutions to complex problems.
  • A background in software engineering would be beneficial for grasping the development concepts associated with some core modules. It is also important to have a practical understanding of development processes, procedures, limitations, challenges, and agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
