Business Analyst
 

We are recruiting a highly motivated Business Analyst to support the Southern Region to support the Regional General Manager, Regional Commercial Manager and Regional Management Team in the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely management information and reporting.
 

This role is responsible for data collection, consolidation and analysis for the Southern Region operations.  This position is also required to provide assistance in the maintenance and implementation of internal controls and compliance.

In your new role, you will responsible for the following:

  • Preparation, consolidation and review of monthly management reports at plant and regional levels; investigation of financial variances between actual, budget and forecast results (eg price variance, volume variance, overhead variance)

  • Collection, consolidation and analysis of regional, national and ad hoc data requests as required

  • Review and analysis of capital expenditure applications; assistance in the completion of capital financial models (eg Capex Investment Appraisal – Acquisitions and Divestments)

  • Assistance in the tracking, implementation and assessment of capital expenditure post audits

  • Maintenance or improvement of existing business model templates and creation of new model templates as required

  • Involvement in the preparation and review of regional annual budgets and quarterly forecasts

  • Involvement in the development of risk management and assessment tools for financial investments and contractual undertakings

  • Compliance of internal control procedures and policies (eg Trade Practices, Plant Audits)

  • Development of supportive relationships with internal customers and head office functions

This role is a great fit for you, if:

  • Have 3 years minimum in an equivalent data collection and analysis role or similar.

  • You have a degree in a relevant field

  • Have strong and well-formed SAP skills

  • Advanced spreadsheet modelling skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Proven commercial analytical and numeracy skills
