We have an exciting opportunity at nbn, as the Build Manager, reporting to the Executive Manager – FWSAT Partner Deployment, Fixed Wireless Build.

A bit about your role

The Fixed Wireless Build Manager is responsible for overseeing the deployment and upgrade of resilient Fixed Wireless networks through strategic partnerships, ensuring growth, capacity, and expansion are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

The role involves managing delivery partners, driving health, safety, and environmental best practices, maintaining customer-centric and cost-focused approaches, and ensuring smooth project handovers to operations.

It also includes risk management, performance improvement, stakeholder engagement, and supporting leadership responsibilities alongside the Executive Manager, occasionally representing them in leadership forums.

A bit about you

The ideal candidate will have experience in wireless telecommunications roll-outs, with deep expertise in Fixed/Mobile Wireless and Satellite technologies, including RF and transmission design, acquisition, planning, and implementation processes.

They possess strong technical knowledge of LTE systems, RAN/Tx equipment, and civil and structural build methodologies, alongside proven problem-solving skills for complex technical issues.

Proficiency in MS Office, and Appian, as well as stakeholder management, team leadership, and the ability to travel to remote locations are essential.

The role also requires adherence to safety policies, fostering a risk-free work environment, and maintaining high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
