We are looking to bring on a BI Analyst to join our Product Operations organization. This organization enables Product Management and Engineering by curating data, enabling insights, and codifying ways of working. We support over twenty software development teams across the US, Sweden, and India. We establish processes that make data insights available to empower decision making, enable Agile/Scrum practices to grow and mature in a healthy way across development teams, and provide technical program management to ensure delivery of key initiatives and cross-departmental projects.
As a member of the Product Operations team, the BI Analyst will enable the collection and analysis of data for stakeholder strategy development and will drive tactics to track progress of outcomes. They will help with data and reporting to achieve business goals; synthesize routine and ad hoc reporting needs to deliver timely and actionable business intelligence. The person in this role will focus on the intersection of data-driven decision making to help drive strategic and tactical initiatives.
What you'll be doing:
- Develop a deep understanding of Product and Engineering workflows (Agile delivery, release management, escalation management, feature launches, feedback loops, etc.) and define how success and efficiency should be measured.
- Own the design, development, and evolution of dashboards, metrics, and reporting frameworks that evaluate:
- Product performance and usage trends
- Scrum team health and delivery predictability
- Escalation and defect patterns
- Feature adoption and lifecycle performance
- Cross-functional workflow effectiveness
- Move beyond descriptive reporting by analyzing process bottlenecks, workflow inefficiencies, and operational gaps—proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations that inform strategic and tactical decisions across Product and Engineering leadership.
- Partner with stakeholders across product, engineering, go-to-market, product marketing, finance, and professional services to align on process KPIs and measurable outcomes.
- Establish process reporting standards and governance to ensure consistency, reliability, and clarity in how performance is measured across teams.
- Identify manual, fragmented, or redundant processes and recommend automation or data-driven optimizations.
- Gather and document business requirements, including mapping source system data, defining transformation logic, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Troubleshoot reporting discrepancies and own data quality validation to ensure leadership is making decisions based on trusted insights.
We're looking for:
- Demonstrated ability to connect data insights to process improvements and business decisions
- Strong data debugging and root-cause analysis skills
- Experience assessing current-state processes and recommending automation or optimization opportunities
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders using data-backed insights
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of experience in BI, Product Analytics, Product Operations, or a similar data-focused operational role
- Strong experience building dashboards and visualizations in tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Advanced SQL skills and ability to manipulate complex, high-dimensional datasets
- Experience measuring and analyzing workflows, operational performance, or delivery metrics
Nice to Haves
- Experience with product analytics and usage platforms (e.g., Pendo)
- Experience building statistical models to test process or business scenarios
- Experience designing or maintaining data models that source from multiple systems
- Familiarity with data engineering concepts such as ETL pipelines and data integrations
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments
