As a Back at Work Performance Specialist, you’ll work across all EML claims teams and specialist teams to help drive sustainable return to work (RTW) performance, with a focus on our 26-week APA measure.
You’ll be part of the Back at Work Performance team, collaborating with leaders, case managers and return to work specialists to develop strategies that lift and maintain strong RTW outcomes over time.

This will be a full time, permanent position based in the Melbourne or Geelong office, with flexibility to work from home up to 3 days per week.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work directly with Claims Specialists / Case Managers / Return to Work Specialists as part of a team to provide a forward focus on return to work strategy and encourage proactive and open communication with key stakeholders .
- Coaching of Return to Work Specialists .
- Conduct in-depth analysis of claims data to identify patterns, trends, and areas for strategic improvement.
- Attend team/department huddles and forums to provide training and updates on RTW strategies.
- Own and monitor relevant trackers and ensure a proactive claims management response.
ABOUT YOU
- Extensive experience within the Victorian Workers Compensation industry and strong knowledge of relevant legislation (mandatory)
- In-depth understanding of WorkSafe’s claims systems, business rules, procedures and data integrity requirements
- Expert-level claims management knowledge, with a proven track record of achieving outcomes
- Strong ability to build relationships and engage effectively with staff at all levels
- Demonstrated capability in identifying issues, developing practical solutions and delivering sustainable results
