  • Building and leading the Kogan.com Commercial Team’s tendering capability from the ground up.
  • Coordinating the preparation of responses for RFQs, RFPs, and other tender formats.
  • Developing pricing models and commercial strategies aligned with business profitability targets.
  • Ensuring all responses meet compliance, legal, and submission requirements.
  • Building trusted, long-term relationships with key stakeholders to drive repeat business and customer advocacy.
  • Managing internal workflows and documentation to support timely and accurate submissions.
  • Tracking tender and sales outcomes, reporting on performance, and implementing improvements to increase win rates.
  • Representing Kogan.com at industry briefings, supplier events, and tender presentations.

To be successful in this role, you should be:

  • University degree qualified in a relevant field (Commerce, Business or similar).
  • Experienced in commercial sales, business development, or account management, with a proven ability to identify and convert new business opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of government and B2B procurement processes, with hands-on tendering experience preferred.
  • Skilled in preparing and coordinating high-quality tender responses, ensuring compliance with legal, technical, and submission requirements.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence decision-makers.
  • Highly organised, with a sharp attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple opportunities, competing priorities, and tight deadlines.
  • Confident working cross-functionally to drive commercial outcomes across logistics, fulfilment, finance, and customer service teams.
  • Comfortable developing pricing models and commercial strategies that balance competitiveness with profitability.
  • Proactive and process-oriented, with a mindset geared towards continuous improvement and innovation.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
