This is an excellent opportunity for an early career professional with a background in engineering, mechanical disciplines, or sales to build a career in B2B technical sales and account management within the automotive industry.  

You’ll play a key role in driving profitable growth of our B2B truck tyre business, while developing both your technical knowledge and commercial capability in a supportive, learning focused environment.

About the Role 

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you’ll join a supportive team focused on securing and maintaining B2B accounts, particularly transport fleets. 

This role suits resilient individuals who enjoy customer interaction, relationship building, and developing an understanding of how products deliver value in real-world automotive operations.
 

Adopting and Leveraging Salesforce CRM, your key responsibilities will include: 

  • Optimise account management processes and achieve sales goals.  

  • Use Michelin sales methodology to grow territory sales volumes.  

  • Conduct customer visits to inspect and report on tyre performance while demonstrating the value of Michelin tyres / services.  

  • Provide technical support to customers and end users.  

  • Initiate improvements in services, products and systems.  

  • Analyse demand and influence stakeholders to ensure resource availability.  

  • Identify new and different business opportunities.  

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Willingness to adapt and learn and grow in a technical sales environment.  

  • Strong communication skills to share information, resolve issues and manage relationships.  

  • Ability to work autonomously while being part of a team.  

  • Analytical capability to understand data, write reports and make recommendations.  

  • Respect for people, contributing to a culture of compassion, empathy and support.  

  • A degree or qualification in engineering, mechanical, automotive, or a related technical discipline, or a background in sales, business or client services. 

  • An interest or passion for the automotive, transport or motorsport industry is highly regarded. 

  • Experience using a CRM tool and MS Office skills: Excel, Word and PowerPoint, or a strong willingness to learn and quickly build capability in these systems. 

  • Ability to travel 6-8 days per month (with flexibility to plan your own schedule).  

  • Authorised to work in Australia. New Zealand applicants will also be considered.
