Location: Haywards Health, Burns House or Leatherhead, Carlton House – covering the South region

Salary: £49,178 to £57,849 per annum

Hours: 36 hours per week      

Contract Type: Permanent

As an Available Homes Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring our homes are let efficiently, fairly, and to residents who can sustain successful tenancies. You’ll lead a high-performing regional team, driving operational excellence to reduce rent loss, improve turnaround times, and enhance the customer experience.

This is a key leadership role where you’ll work collaboratively across Clarion and with external partners to make sure every home we let contributes to Clarion’s long-term success and community impact.

What You’ll Be Doing

Leadership & Performance

  • Lead, inspire and support a dispersed regional team to deliver excellent performance and meet key targets.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Use performance data and insight to identify and address any delays in the lettings process.
  • Drive behavioral and cultural change to improve efficiency and customer outcomes.

Stakeholder & Partnership Management

  • Act as the main regional contact for local authorities and other housing partners.
  • Negotiate and manage nomination agreements to ensure efficient allocations and sustainable tenancies.
  • Build strong internal relationships with Maintenance, Housing, and Development teams to ensure new homes are ready to let on time.
  • Influence and hold partners to account for delivery, ensuring joint ownership of performance outcomes.

Strategic Delivery

  • Collaborate with other Available Homes Managers to deliver a consistent, high-quality service across all regions.
  • Contribute to policy and process reviews to drive improvements and efficiency.
  • Ensure all activity complies with regulatory, statutory, and Clarion standards.

What You’ll Need

  • Proven experience leading and motivating dispersed teams in a performance-driven environment.
  • A strong track record of improving operational efficiency and achieving measurable outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills — confident when managing senior stakeholders.
  • Analytical and solutions-focused, with the ability to translate insight into action.
