ABOUT THE TEAM
The Automation Team at Basis Technologies plays a critical role in ensuring the quality,
performance, and reliability of our industry-leading platform, Basis. We build and maintain
scalable, robust test automation frameworks for UI and API layers, enabling fast feedback and
confident releases in a high-volume environment processing over 300 billion daily events.
Working closely with developers, QA analysts, Product Managers and DevOps engineers, we
use tools like Playwright, Selenium, Cucumber, and integrate with modern pipelines on AWS
EKS. Our mission is to shift testing left, reduce manual effort, and catch issues before they reach
production - all while continuously improving our automation architecture and practices.
WAYS YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE
This role has a strong emphasis on writing and maintaining automated acceptance/regression tests against a web application developed. Other ways you will contribute to the team are by:
- Designing and implementing test plans for UI and microservices
- Building and maintaining UI automation frameworks
- Performing API testing and integrating it into automated workflows
- Analyzing regression results and maintain test stability
- Actively participating in agile ceremonies
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- 2+ years of QA automation experience
- Solid experience in Java and JavaScript for test automation
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases
- Familiarity with Linux environments and automation pipelines (e.g., Jenkins)
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Cucumber
- Strong understanding of web application architecture and test strategy
- Proven experience in API testing, working with complex microservices architectures, and data validation.
- Commitment to creating inclusive, respectful environments where all voices are valued and supported.
- Thoughtful approach to collaboration, design, and decision-making that prioritizes equity, access, and continuous learning.

- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, microservices testing, and cloud platforms
- Experience contributing to system-wide automation design
