The Opportunity

We are seeking an Automation & AI Analyst to join our Knowledge & Research team on a 12-month maximum-term contract, based in Sydney or Melbourne. In this role, you will help design, develop and maintain legal template automation, knowledge and AI-enabled solutions that support the firm’s legal and business teams. You will work closely with lawyers, knowledge professionals, Digital, IT and external automation and AI vendors to deliver practical, effective technology solutions across the firm.


What you'll do:

Working under the direction of the Senior Knowledge Manager, Systems (Asia Australia) following a prioritised pipeline, the role involves:

  • Working with Knowledge Lawyers/Counsel and Leads to design, develop, support and maintain automated legal templates using Contract Express.
  • Design, develop, support and maintain SharePoint, Power Automate (flow), Power Apps, Power BI, Copilot Agent solutions.
  • Where required, support Knowledge solutions in SharePoint, Power Automate (flow), Power Apps, Power BI and AI platforms
  • Comply with WHS obligations and responsibilities in accordance with the requirements for this role and, for leaders at any level, this includes adequately supervising and supporting team members to promote a safe and respectful workplace.

What you'll bring:


  • 1-3 years’ experience in a legal practice or professional services business.
  • A “tech mindset”, with the ability to understand how different technologies work and use creative and analytical thinking to apply them effectively.
  • Enthusiasm and confidence in experimenting with low-code or no-code automation
  • Display readiness to swiftly adapt as technology progresses
  • Solid understanding of automation platforms and applied experience using platforms such as Contract Express or similar, as well as Microsoft 365 Power Tools.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong SharePoint skills.
  • Experience with and/or a curiosity about AI and emerging technologies.
  • High level of attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and ability to prioritise.
  • Ability to follow and manage deadlines, organise and prioritise tasks.
  • High level of personal integrity, initiative, and collegiality with a demonstrated capacity to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to confidently communicate with other legal and business services professionals and clients
  • Ability to work effectively within an agile, activity-based environment
