Dragos is on a relentless mission to defend industrial organizations that provide us with the necessities of modern civilization; running water, functioning electricity, and safe industrial working environments. As the market leader in ICS/OT Cybersecurity, we are dedicated to arming our customers with best-in-class technology, threat intelligence, and services to protect their systems as effectively and efficiently as possible. We’re a remote-first culture with operations in North America, Europe, the Middle East, and APAC. We’re looking for mission-oriented teammates who embody our core values of authenticity, transparency, and trust. Are you ready to make a difference? Come join a mission that can save the world!

About the Role:

Our APAC Customer Experience team is looking for a Field Operations Engineer to join our mission. In this role, you’ll be on the front lines—planning, scoping, and deploying the Dragos Platform directly into customer environments. One week you might be at a power plant, the next on a refinery floor, or inside a substation—always working hands-on to strengthen industrial environments against cyber threats. If you love solving technical challenges and making a real-world impact, this is your chance to do work that matters!

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a trusted advisor and power-user of the Dragos platform, ensuring customers get maximum value for their ICS/OT security operations
  • Partner with client teams to design network architecture, plan sensor placement and support deployment strategies
  • Lead deployments both onsite and remotely, ensuring seamless setup and integration
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues, providing break/fix support and working closely with engineering teams when escalation is needed
  • Managed upgrades, patches and configuration changes to keep systems running at peak performance
  • Collaborate with Dragos Intelligence and Services teams on investigations and special projects
  • Create clear, concise technical documentation to support customers and internal teams

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in industrial engineering (e.g., controls engineer) or InfoSec (ideally with ICS/OT cybersecurity exposure)
  • Deep knowledge of networking: IP networks, OSI model, Purdue mode and ICS protocols
  • Strong Linux skills (command line), with experience in CENTOS, scripting (e.g., Python, Shell) and SIEMs
  • Experience with both on-premise and cloud-based enterprise solutions
  • Familiarity with Elasticsearch
  • Excitement for tackling complex technical problems (sometimes while wearing a hardhat int he field)
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%

Compensation:

  • Salary: AUD 150,000
  • Competitive Equity Package
  • Comprehensive Benefits Plan

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
