CommBank’s Market Operations business is looking for an Associate to join our Pre-Trade Operations onboarding team which sits within our Markets Operations function designed to provide extensive support for our Institutional Banking and Markets (IB&M) front-office clients.
Our Markets Operations team is responsible for several functions that support our Markets and Treasury Businesses including; Collateral and Margining, Trade Support, Commodity Operations, OTC Regulatory Operations and Pre-Trade Operations.
The Role.
Within Markets Operations we will support our Global Markets clients by processing, settling and investigating inward/outward real time payments and by actioning further confirmations, reconciliations and financial markets products spanning FX, derivatives, commodities and Fixed Income asset classes.
As an Associate within our Pre-Trade Operations team, you will be responsible for on-boarding clients and completing all necessary regulatory checks required within specific global jurisdictions.
You will collaborate with IB&M and Market Operations teams globally to ensure a high quality of service to our Institutional, Corporate, Business Banking, FI/NBFI customers ensuring timely response to any enquires, complaints and issues.
This is a 12 Month Max Term or secondment opportunity for our internal team members, which is a great way to utilise and expand your skillsets with CommBank.
On any given day you will:
- Complete regulatory checks including across a variety of regulatory frameworks, thus ensuring we capture enough information to meet our regulatory requirements.
- Support the integrity of OTC Regulatory reform and Global Markets regulatory standards throughout the end-to-end Global Markets client onboarding process.
- Provide multiple support services to the Global Markets Front Office teams as required.
- Provide expertise on critical Market Operations & Markets Products On-boarding Standard Operating Procedures
- Provide assistance in various projects relating to the on-boarding
We’re interested in hearing from people who have:
Experience within corporate banking or global markets and will have some awareness of global markets products and concepts. You will be able to understand the general client management flow and experience and will be able to explain complex situations clearly and concisely.
You will also have:
- General knowledge of Global Markets onboarding, including, know your client (KYC), and OTC Regulation compliance frameworks
- Ability to identify any ‘gaps’ in existing processes which may negatively impact stakeholders downstream, providing workable solutions to remedy the process
- Ability to work both autonomously and as a part of a team.
