About the Role:

In this role, you will lead your team to deliver a world-class customer experience by ensuring the facilities operate securely and without interruption. Your responsibilities will include managing site logistics, security, general maintenance outside of technical zones, and ensuring the internal and external presentation of the facilities is top-notch. Additionally, you will handle escalations and ad hoc business priorities promptly, ensuring all services meet high standards.

Other duties include:

  • Oversee daily operations of Data Centre facilities, ensuring uninterrupted service and effective risk management.
  • Mentor and guide staff, contributing to their development and knowledge sharing.
  • Manage customer interactions, service provider relations, and the onboarding of clients, contractors, and staff.
  • Assist in procurement activities, maintenance contracts, and obtaining necessary certifications for facility compliance.
  • Contribute to and manage the site expense budget while supporting broader financial and operational objectives.

About you:

We are seeking a leader with experience overseeing the day-to-day operations of data centres or similar critical environments. This role offers the opportunity to deepen your expertise within the rapidly growing data centre industry, gaining exposure to complex infrastructure, systems, and large-scale operations.

  • Proven experience supervising or coordinating technical teams, contractors, and suppliers supporting critical infrastructure
  • Strong focus on maintaining system reliability and uptime, minimising disruption to clients and operations
  • Experience coordinating maintenance across electrical, mechanical, and fire systems
  • Comfortable using monitoring systems (e.g. BMS/SCADA) to oversee site conditions, respond to alerts, and support root cause analysis
  • Strong capability in technical troubleshooting and process improvement, particularly in high-pressure environments
  • Able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear and concise updates

Essential:

Australian Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security Clearance.
