Job Description

The Opportunity

Mattel are seeking an Associate Manager, Media to join our Marketing team! This role plays an important part in coordinating, enabling, and optimising media execution across multiple markets within a region, ensuring approved global and regional media strategies are delivered accurately, efficiently, and consistently.

This is an exciting opportunity for a media professional who enjoys managing executional complexity, working across markets, partnering with agencies, and improving ways of working at scale. You’ll act as a key connection point between Global and Regional strategy, agency delivery, and market level execution, supporting consistent delivery of media activity across campaigns, channels, and markets.

As an Associate Manager, Media, you will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating execution of approved global and regional media strategies across multiple markets within the region.
  • Ensuring consistency of execution, pacing, and quality across markets, channels, and campaigns.
  • Acting as the primary regional point of coordination for execution related questions, escalations, and dependencies.
  • Partnering with regional and local media agency teams to ensure execution aligns with approved strategy, governance standards, and timelines.
  • Overseeing execution readiness across markets, including inputs, trafficking dependencies, and delivery requirements.
  • Identifying executional risks, gaps, or inefficiencies and coordinating corrective actions.
  • Ensuring agencies are operating within scope, quality expectations, and regional processes.
  • Monitoring execution status, pacing, and performance signals across markets.
  • Supporting in flight optimisation coordination, ensuring adjustments are aligned with strategy and escalated appropriately.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely reporting inputs from markets to support regional and global visibility.
  • Partnering with Media Operations, Analytics, and Finance to maintain execution discipline and transparency.
  • Serving as the execution liaison between Global Media Managers, International Senior Media Managers, and In Country Media Managers.
  • Coordinating across markets to share learnings, execution improvements, and best practices.
  • Supporting regional planning cycles, tentpoles, and high complexity launches through execution leadership.
  • Helping onboard new markets, agencies, or processes as part of global transformation initiatives.
  • Identifying recurring execution challenges and recommending regional process or workflow improvements.
  • Supporting adoption of standardised execution frameworks, templates, and playbooks.

 

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in media execution, campaign delivery, and multi market coordination.
  • Ability to manage complexity, dependencies, and timelines across markets.
  • Comfort working across time zones, cultures, and agency teams.
  • Strong organisational and problem solving skills.
  • Clear communication skills, with the ability to influence execution outcomes without direct authority.
  • Strong attention to detail with a systems and process mindset.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across global, regional, market, agency, operations, analytics, and finance stakeholders.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and solutions focused, with the ability to identify risks and support continuous improvement.
