Your Team

Global Institutional Banking Coverage (GIBC) leads relationship management and delivers transaction banking, risk management, and capital solutions. The Institutional Client Coverage (ICC) team supports clients in the NBFI and Banks, Government & Education segments. Within the Non-Bank Financial Institutions, we provide a full range of capital and financing solutions to domestic and global clients across diversified financial, superannuation, wealth management, private equity, private credit and insurance. These include working capital, fund finance, securitisation warehouse facilities, structured and trade finance, bank guarantees, acquisition funding and domestic and international bond market issuance.

As an Associate in NBFI, you will:

  • Support bankers in servicing NBFI client needs across complex transactions and operational requirements.

  • Work within Deal Teams to manage documentation, execution, settlement, and lifecycle maintenance.

  • Prepare annual credit reviews and support credit applications for new transactions.

  • Facilitate Know Your Customer (KYC) onboarding and refresh processes.

  • Monitor client portfolios, manage breaches, and liaise with credit risk teams.

  • Maintain accurate client, credit, and transaction data across systems.

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.

  • Contribute to internal and external reporting and cross-functional initiatives.

  • Foster a positive team culture and uphold a safe, inclusive workplace.

Your Skills & Experience

  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.

  • Effective communication and presentation skills.

  • Understanding of operational drivers of a business and how they impact the financial performance of that business

  • Analytical and research capabilities.

  • Knowledge of KYC requirements

  • Understanding of credit risk and risk management.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Tertiary qualifications in law, finance, numerical, or business-related disciplines.

  • Prior experience in corporate or investment banking is highly regarded as is the Graduate program of a major bank.
