The Opportunity
OES is on a mission to be the world’s most impactful enabler of education. We partner with leading universities and institutions to deliver transformative online learning experiences. As we expand our strategic capabilities, we’re seeking a visionary Associate Director, Portfolio Strategy to lead the evolution of our academic offerings and help us stay ahead in a competitive market.
This is a high-impact, strategic leadership role where you’ll define and drive portfolio strategy across our Australian university partnerships. - Competitor & Market Intelligence: Lead deep analysis of competitor offerings, labour market data, and emerging fields to inform course and portfolio decisions.
- AI-Driven Innovation: Collaborate with our AI team to refine tools that enhance student experience and our strategic insights. Test and deploy AI models to support analysis and decision-making.
- Collaborative Influence: Partner with internal teams and university stakeholders to ensure our courses are differentiated, industry-aligned, and future-ready.
- Global Impact: Contribute to the development of a portfolio strategy service that can be offered internationally.
About You
- Proven experience in product or portfolio strategy, ideally in higher education or a related sector.
- Strong background in competitor analysis, market research, and translating insights into strategic action.
- A strategic thinker with commercial acumen and a passion for innovation.
- Comfortable working with AI tools and agents to enhance decision-making and user experience.
- A natural collaborator and delegator who thrives in cross-functional environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field; postgraduate qualifications are a plus.
