CBA’s Global Markets division is responsible for the Trading and Sales activities in financial markets encompassing all Foreign Exchange, Commodities, Fixed Income and Interest Rate products. The Global Markets Sales team plays an important part in enhancing our clients’ success by making global markets easy to navigate.
Your Team
The Account Manager team provides Foreign Exchange and Deposit product dealing and support to meet the needs of clients (existing and new) within Business Bank (BB). This team sits within Business Banking Sales, a client-facing business unit of Institutional Banking and Markets, responsible for the transactional delivery of our full range of risk management products to corporate clients serviced by Institutional Banking, Corporate Banking, Agri and Local Business Banking. The team liaises with large and medium-sized Australian-based companies as well as all Federal and NSW Government-related clients.
Your Impact and Contribution
As an Associate Director in the Account Manager team you’ll be an integral team member who provides exceptional service and support to CBA Business Banking customers, transacting primarily through our electronic channels, and delivering great client outcomes with respect to their ongoing FX payment and cross-product Risk Management needs.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and grow a portfolio of Business Banking clients
Drive retention, adoption and active usage of FX risk management and Payments services across multiple channels, with a particular focus on digital.
Educate and assist as the first point of contact for internal (bankers) and external (customers) FX and FX-linked product queries, ensuring seamless activation for customers with FX needs, working closely with Bankers, Global Markets Specialists.
Sell FX risk management products to a defined client base, meeting individual and team revenue growth targets
Assist team members with deal identification, structure, and closure
Maintain and report knowledge of industry and market conditions, and proactively respond to client needs, including owning client complaints until resolved, ensuring alignment with Bank and Global Markets policy
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Bank and Global Markets products, including enhancements and competitive positioning
Recommend and influence continuous improvement opportunities across product, people, process, and systems
What You’ll Bring
Proven success in sales and client relationship management
Previous financial services or relevant corporate experience with sound business acumen with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interest in financial markets products and services and a commitment to compliance with regulations, policies and processes
Tertiary qualification and AFMA accreditation (desirable)
Self-motivated, performance-driven, and growth-oriented mindset
