Lead sourcing and supplier management activities: develop sourcing and negotiation strategies, run RFPs, evaluate vendors, draft and manage contracts, ensure vendor performance, and lead cross-functional sourcing projects to drive cost, quality, and process improvements.
Description and Requirements
• Should be able to develop sourcing strategies and negotiation strategies for assigned services and commodities
• Identifying sourcing objectives and anticipated end state, predict results that will realize cost reductions, quality improvements and process changes
• Determine needs of internal customer / line of business, and incorporate that information into the appropriate statements of work to support competitive bidding and contract completion.
• Request for response on value-based requests for proposals.
• Coordinate proposals evaluation and selection of vendors.
• Ensure contracts include appropriate vendor performance requirements, key performance measures, vendor reporting requirements, and service level requirements.
• Has working knowledge of US contract law, and have the ability to coordinate with Legal and internal customers to develop contracts and master service agreements.
• N egotiation of contract changes and extensions.
• Ability to lead multiple large strategic sourcing events concurrently.
• Strong supplier management skills.
• Strong negotiating, persuasion & influence skills
Cross-functional team leadership, including experience in establishing and managing project schedules to ensure sourcing events are completed on schedule.
