About the role 
 

We're seeking an Applications Support Analyst to provide operational support for Transurban's Customer Platforms systems and co-dependent applications. 
 

You'll join an innovative team, who collaborate to maintain high service standards while maximizing system availability and integrity across our critical application and services. 

 
As our Applications Support Analyst, you'll contribute to lasting and positive changes that shape the future of our cities and communities by ensuring our tolling systems function seamlessly, managing incidents, solving problems, and continuously improving our essential services. It's meaningful, challenging and exciting work. 

 

Day-to-day, you will: 
 

  • Resolve incidents within SLA objectives, ensuring prompt restoration of application services while minimizing adverse effects on business operations and keeping customers informed throughout the process. 
  • Conduct daily health checks and proactive system monitoring to identify potential issues before they impact business operations, including building and maintaining monitoring dashboards. 
  • Action service requests according to SLA guidelines, maintaining accurate documentation and providing regular status updates to stakeholders. 
  • Execute planned changes to application operations following proper procedures, including risk assessment, implementation, testing, and documentation updates. 
  • Participate in rotational on-call duties to provide after-hours support for critical systems, responding promptly to incidents and escalating major issues appropriately. 
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve system stability, performance, and operational processes while maintaining up-to-date documentation. 

 
 

This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including: 
 

  • Experience in applications support of mission critical systems (Oracle Fusion suite desirable) 
  • Experience in AWS Services 
  • Experience in Monitoring tools such as Splunk Monitoring, Oracle Enterprise Monitoring 
  • Experience in Scheduling tools such as Jenkins, CA Workload Automation 
  • Experience in Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow 
  • Experience in managing SSL certificates and key management 
  • Experience in file transfer protocols (Axway, WS_FTP) 
  • Technical support experience in Linux/UNIX, Client/Server and Networking environments with proficiency in the use of related diagnostic tools 
  • Exposure to Oracle RDBMS and Microsoft SQL Server 
  • Exposure to scripting (Java, Python, Bash, Groovy)
