This is an exciting opportunity for a senior, cross-regional business development professional to join the growing APAC Data & Feeds team and lead some of the most strategic commercial engagements LSEG has with its clients: the sale and expansion of complex data redistribution, derived data, and AI-powered use cases across Asia Pacific.

The Data & Feeds business includes the vast majority of LSEG’s off-platform data feeds, infrastructure, and services. For example, real-time pricing data, digital wealth solutions, pricing and reference services, quantitative analytics, and content delivered into enterprise platforms, applications, and AI environments.

Many of the largest clients consume these services across multiple business lines, geographies, and use cases. Increasingly, clients are looking to redistribute data internally and externally, build digital products, power wealth applications, support algorithmic workflows, and enable AI and agentic solutions. Through deep engagement with clients and internal stakeholders, the person will be responsible for identifying opportunities, structuring commercial solutions, and negotiating complex agreements that enable these strategic initiatives.

The role requires very strong collaboration and coordination skills given the breadth of stakeholders involved, including sales, product, legal, licensing, partnerships, and senior client decision-makers. It is highly rewarding, given its potential impact on revenue growth, strategic client relationships, and LSEG’s position within the evolving data and AI ecosystem.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales growth with strategic Data & Feeds clients across APAC.
  • Identify, develop, and close complex data redistribution, derived data, and AI-related commercial opportunities.
  • Creatively structure, negotiate, and complete large-scale commercial agreements.
  • Develop and execute the APAC-wide strategy for data redistribution and AI use case growth.
  • Join and lead customer meetings, particularly during solution design, commercial structuring, and negotiation phases.
  • Partner closely with Product, Legal, Licensing, Partnerships, and Account Management teams to navigate complex client requirements.
  • Build executive-level relationships with decision makers across financial institutions, fintechs, exchanges, wealth platforms, and AI technology providers.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, competitive landscape, and evolving client demand related to data consumption, redistribution, and AI.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Deep understanding of the financial services industry, particularly market data, enterprise data licensing, and redistribution models.
  • Experience selling complex data, technology, or platform solutions to large organizations.
  • Proven ability to negotiate significant multi-year commercial agreements.
  • Strong understanding of AI-related data use cases, data licensing considerations, and emerging market trends.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Business-level English is required.
  • Another Asian language is a plus.
  • Very strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience navigating complex sales cycles involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • 5-10+ years of industry, sales, business development, or market data experience.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and delivering strategic growth initiatives.

What you need to know about the Melbourne Tech Scene

Home to 650 biotech companies, 10 major research institutes and nine universities, Melbourne is among one of the top cities for biotech. In fact, some of the greatest medical advancements were conceptualized and developed here, including Symex Lab's "lab-on-a-chip" solution that monitors hormones to predict ovulation for conception, and Denteric's vaccine for periodontal gum disease. Yet, the thousands of people working in the city's healthtech sector are just getting started, to say nothing of the tech advancements across all other sectors.
