Exciting opportunity to join APAC Resiliency - Strategy, Governance & Controls within the Commercial and Investment Bank, where you get to play a pivotal role in supporting the Head of APAC Resiliency to develop, steer, and influence the approach to plan, prepare, respond, recover, and sustain from disruptions. This dynamic and high-profile position is instrumental in advising senior management on focus resiliency areas to strategically drive operational resiliency outcomes, supporting effective operational risk management. You will have the chance to work with various lines of businesses & functions, spanning Front Office, Operations, Technology, and Corporate Functions at varying levels, including senior management.
As a Vice President in the APAC Business Resiliency team, you will be a key player in strengthening the firm's ability to manage disruptions. Your role will involve advising senior management and fostering cooperation across various business sectors and functions. You will help shape the firm's resiliency strategy, ensuring effective operational risk management and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Your commitment to enhancing the firm's resilience to disruptions and recovery capabilities will be critical as a member of the APAC Resiliency team. Job Responsibilities:
- Implement resiliency considerations into broader frameworks across the firm.
- Conduct thematic analysis and develop approaches to improve resiliency risk management.
- Partner in the development and monitoring of key resiliency controls.
- Perform end-to-end issue management, including action plan development and issue remediation.
- Support resiliency initiatives across the organization.
- Develop APAC resiliency operating and engagement models.
- Review and analyze resiliency data to support firmwide risk management.
- Monitor industry trends and risk events, sharing insights with the team and executives.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- At least 8 years of experience in business or finance management, governance, or strategy-related functions.
- Sound judgment and professional maturity to proactively solve problems.
- Ability to organize and discern risk themes for effective decision-making.
- Outstanding problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
- Strong ability to drive tasks to completion through effective tracking and monitoring.
- Leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive outcomes under pressure.
- Self-motivated, curious, proactive, strategic thinker focused on continuous improvement.
- Ability to work independently and forge strong internal relationships across functions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (oral and written).
- Ability to coach and develop junior talent while providing oversight and guidance.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Experience in operational risk management or resiliency planning.
- Familiarity with APAC market dynamics and regulatory requirements.
- Proven track record of successful project management in a complex environment.
