As an Event Planner, on the Global Events team, you will develop and execute event strategies that align with J.P. Morgan's brand standards, ensuring a consistent and professional experience for our clients. You will lead multi-city roadshows, collaborate with senior leadership, and contribute to high-profile events that support business goals. This position offers the opportunity to drive innovation in event planning and make a significant impact within the EMEA Region.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the roadshow, including strategy development with senior leadership and event planning with junior team members.
- Collaborate with the EMEA Head of Events and senior leadership to develop event plans and strategies that align with business goals and J.P. Morgan Asset Management brand standards.
- Utilize strong knowledge of the EMEA region, including key cities, venues, and local trends, for successful event execution.
- Oversee event management tasks from inception to execution
- Handle onsite responsibilities such as speaker management, vendor coordination, registration management, and oversight of presentations/AV needs.
- Deliver virtual events ensuring the right platform is chosen and communicating pros and cons.
- Participate in team meetings to provide event updates and strategic expertise.
- Assist on special global projects as needed.
- Manage event communications through the event management platform
- Emphasize data management throughout the event planning process, including post-event tracking and conducting ROI analysis.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:
- Relationship Effectiveness - build strong relationships with business managers, marketing and vendors
- Insight - ability to understand the unique needs of the various channels and manage accordingly
- Delivery - develop credibility and trust through consistent high quality execution and management of the on-line event marketing management tool
- Competent project manager with strong organisational skills with practical experience organising large and small events
- Team player - required to manage deliverables from a small team
- Ability to multi-task - manage multiple projects and prioritise effectively
- Attention to detail and highly organised
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:
- Degree educated
- Good knowledge of existing virtual events platforms, including PGI, and prior experience working and delivering virtual/digital events including reporting and using data to improve events and assist the sales teams
- Experience of self-service event management platforms
- Experience of navigating complex organisations
- Ability to manage the expectations of multiple stakeholders including senior management
- Comfortable with systems and processes typical of large organisations
- Ability to mix strategic thinking with practical application
