Airbus Helicopters España S.A. (AHE) integrates the Rotorcraft activities in Spain being a tractor company of other Spanish entities that participate in the Rotatory wing Aircraft Industry.
EBSTIF perform Design and Stress activities participating in all the phases of the product, from specification to customer in-service support: conceptual and detailed design, support to production (non-conformity assessment, generation of documentation needed for manufacturing, etc.), support to testing activities, generation of evidences for certification/qualification purposes and costumer support.
In this context, we are looking for a stress engineer to join our engaged team to work in feasibility studies and driving and certifying detailed designs for customizations, modifications and new developments of composite, metal and hybrid structures.
As part of this team you will:
· Liaise with Design and other appropriate Airbus departments to come up with high quality integrated and certified engineering solutions for customers (both external and internal) within given time scales.
· Autonomously perform complex analyses to assess that structural integrity requirements have been met using standard hand and computer methods. Assignments include structural justification documentation and subsequent certification documents for in-service fleet support.
· Ensure adherence to relevant regulations, relevant design principles, processes, methods and manufacturing capabilities guidelines.
Your Technical profile:
· Engineering Degree in Aerospace, civil engineering or comparable, at least 5 years of experience on Stress Analysis Methods, including finite element methods.
· Toolset experience preferred:
- FEM Altair Hyperworks (Hypermesh, Hyperview, etc.), Nastran
- Automatization through Excel via Visual Basic, Python, MatLab or others
· Repair solutions definition (non-conformities and In-service repairs) and technical team lead experience would be a plus.
· Experience in Fatigue and Damage tolerance analysis will be valuable.
· Capability to contribute to the product value chain with ideas and proposals.
· Ability to work within timescales as part of an integrated, multidisciplinary team.
· Ability to communicate technical subjects effectively and accurately to non-specialists.
· Fluent in English.
