The Opportunity
We are seeking a talented person to support the world class Air Combat Electronic Attack capability provided by the F/A-18F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler.
This person will lead a team of specialist practitioners across a range of disciplines, including environmental degradation management, reliability, maintenance requirements determination, fleet-health monitoring and investigation, specialist platform systems, installed explosive ordnance, combat survivability, weapon system database management, and aircrew and technical publications management.
The successful candidate should understand Life-of-Type value considerations and how multiple disciplines integrate and collaborate to optimise asset availability. Key to this role is the ability to think laterally and collaborate with your multidisciplinary team to identify issues and removing barriers in order to develop optimal Life-of-Type solutions.

Responsibilities
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of domain specialists.
- Leverage and coordinate the team's problem-solving expertise to deliver optimal capability outcomes.
- Support the team by hearing concerns and addressing issues.
- Apply lateral thinking to balance competing priorities and maximise solution efficiency.
- Partner with Engineering and Logistics leaders in the Product Support Team to ensure effective, cost-efficient sustainment and readiness of the Super Hornet and Growler fleets.
- Synthesize data and present clear, actionable briefings to diverse stakeholder groups.
- Foster and promote a psychologically safe working environment.
Experience / Qualifications
- Demonstrated servant leadership abilities.
- Experience working in an aircraft fleet sustainment environment.
- Understand aircraft Life-of-Type considerations and related decision-making across the range of Integrated Logistics Support elements.
- Possess a knowledge of subsystem and component reliability concepts and the significance of Environmental Degradation Management EDM, and Maintenance Requirements Determination MRD management, or the ability to quickly learn these concepts.
- Proven ability to use data analytics to support effective decision-making.
- Demonstrated experience working in multidisciplinary, integrated teams-leading, communicating, and executing program-wide strategies.
- Applicants must be an Australian Citizen and hold, or have ability to obtain, an Australian Defence security clearance to Negative Vetting level 1.
