Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced AI Technical Lead to lead the delivery, engineering excellence, architecture governance, and production readiness of AI solutions deployed on cloud platforms, with expertise in Microsoft Azure or AWS. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership across the full project lifecycle, ensuring AI solutions are secure, scalable, resilient, and aligned with business and technology objectives.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a strong blend of technical expertise, delivery management, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership. The AI Technical Lead will be responsible for driving end-to-end solution delivery, guiding engineering teams, maintaining architectural and engineering standards, and ensuring solutions are deployed successfully into production environments.
The AI Technical Lead will own the end-to-end delivery of AI initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. They will provide technical oversight across the software development lifecycle, including solution design, architecture governance, code quality, testing, deployment, and operational readiness. The role will lead the adoption of DevOps and CI/CD best practices, oversee cloud environments and infrastructure-as-code implementations, and ensure compliance with security, governance, and operational requirements. Working closely with clients, business stakeholders, architects, and delivery teams, the AI Technical Lead will drive requirement clarity, manage risks and dependencies, facilitate workshops and governance forums, and support key technical decisions. The role will also coordinate onshore and offshore teams, provide technical mentoring, remove delivery blockers, oversee hypercare and production support activities, and ensure AI solutions remain stable, scalable, secure, and fit for purpose throughout their lifecycle.
Qualifications- Proven experience as an AI Technical Lead, Technical Lead or Senior Software Engineer delivering enterprise-scale solutions.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms.
- Experience with cloud-native services for serverless computing, API management, identity and access management, networking, secrets management, monitoring, and observability.
- Experience delivering AI, Generative AI, Machine Learning, Intelligent Automation, or AI-powered applications.
- Strong understanding of API-led architecture, microservices, and event-driven design patterns.
- Experience designing, building, and deploying scalable cloud-based applications.
- Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and release management.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, or similar DevOps tools.
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, AWS CDK, or equivalent tools.
- Strong understanding of cloud security, identity and access management, secrets management, networking, and enterprise security controls.
- Experience leading and coordinating onshore and offshore delivery teams.
- Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices, including code reviews, testing, quality assurance, and production support.
- Proven ability to manage delivery risks, dependencies, technical issues, and stakeholder expectations.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and client engagement skills.
- Experience facilitating technical workshops, solution design sessions, and architecture reviews.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Experience working within Agile, Scrum, DevOps, or DevSecOps environments.
