A Day in the LifeA fantastic brand-new opportunity has arisen to join our and lead our high performing Cardiac Ablation Solutions (CAS) Affera mapping team to take electrophysiology into the next era. As an Affera Mapping Specialist Manager, your ability to lead a team and technical expertise will be valuable in driving the successful launch of Affera & other electrophysiology products in the Australian & New Zealand market ensuring successful patient outcomes and customer experience.
Cardiac Ablation Solutions offers cardiac mapping and ablation solutions to treat patients with abnormal heart rhythms. It is focused on disrupting and leading the market with innovative cardiac electrophysiology products.

This role combines technical expertise in cardiac mapping with strong people management skills, making it a dynamic and rewarding position. This role will report into the Regional Business Director- Cardiac Ablation Solutions.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties maybe assigned:

  • Clinical and Technical Support: Provide clinical and technical support for cardiac mapping systems and CAS products 

  • Training and Education: Educate and train physicians, hospital personnel, and Medtronic staff on technical matters related to CAS products and procedures 

  • Sales Collaboration: Collaborate with sales teams to achieve national, regional, and territory sales objectives 

  • Customer Relationship Management: Develop and cultivate customer relationships to drive incremental business

  • Promotion of Products: Promote the safe and effective use of Medtronic Cardiac Ablation Solutions products 

  • People Management:

    • Leading and Managing Teams: Set quarterly goals and objectives for the team, provide guidance and support, and ensure team members have the resources they need

    • Performance Management: Evaluate team performance, provide feedback, and help team members set and achieve performance goals

    • Mentoring and Development: Help team members develop their skills and capabilities, providing support and guidance as needed

    • Conflict Resolution: Address conflicts and issues within the team and work to resolve them promptly and effectively 

    • Communication and Collaboration: Ensure effective communication within the team and with other departments

    • Budget and Resource Management: Manage the team’s budgets and resources, ensuring they are used effectively and efficiently 

    • Compliance: Ensure the team is compliant with relevant laws, regulations, and policies

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree plus a minimum of 5 years of related work experience in cardiac mapping and navigation,  

  • Experience: Extensive experience in cardiac mapping and navigation 

  • Skills: Strong communication skills, technical expertise, and ability to build and maintain relationships 

  • People Management Skills: Leadership, mentoring, conflict resolution, and effective communication.

  • Willingness to travel as required to meet business requirements
