The opportunity or About Project
The Southern Program Alliance is contracted by Victorian Government to remove most dangerous and congested level crossings. This is a critical infrastructure project with significant public impact.
Reporting to the Manager, People and Capability (Southern Program Alliance), the Advisor, Training, Learning & Development will be responsible for providing high-quality training including design, administrative and managing all training records.
Key responsibilities
- Design, Coordination and Facilitation of workshops and training including Safety Inductions, Graduate, Trainee and Industry Based Learning cohorts
- Work with Safety and functional teams to implement WHS procedures and competency requirements in Induction resources, contribute to the development of training programs
- Understand the requirements outlined in the National Training Matrix, and provide advice to project teams including conducting periodic audits on learner records and produce training reports
- Develop training modules that apply adult learning principles, Implement blended learning approaches, support the accredited assessment process and participate in certification processes to ensure training effectiveness,
- Understanding of AQF, NZQA, VET, HE, and micro-credentials in training design
- Manage qualifications, documentation, and payment arrangements for learning workers with moderate supervision, Coordinate with RTOs, GTOs, ANPs, and handle non-accredited training and overseas equivalence Learning and Development
Required Skills and Competencies
- Certificate IV Training and Assessment and/or relevant qualification
- Experience in Construction/Infrastructure
- Demonstrated experience of training and learning requirements, including design and delivery
- Experience and knowledge of Learning Models and/or a Systems Approach to Learning
- Exposure to generating reports and data analysis
