About the Role
Hastings Deering is seeking a motivated and professional Administrator to join our Darwin Branch. This position provides high‑quality customer service, administrative support, and operational assistance across a range of business functions.

This is a Permanent Full Time position working Monday – Friday out of our Darwin branch.
As an Administrator, some of your responsibilities may include:
Greeting customers, contractors and visitors with a friendly, professional attitude
Answer and direct non‑Parts incoming calls promptly and courteously
Manage mail and provide general office and administrative support
Support contractor and vendor onboarding and compliance requirements (e.g. Rapid Global)
Assist with procurement processes, creation of purchase requisitions, and purchasing activities
Support accounts administration and Cash Sale management, including EFTPOS and banking reconciliation
Coordinate travel, rooms booking and organise catering as required.
Provide administrative support to the Administration Team Leader, Area Manager, and operational departments, including Reman and Parts as required.
Prepare weekly business and safety statistics and maintain relevant communication boards
Perform other office support and ad hoc tasks as needed

About You
A successful teammate will have experience in:
Proven administrative work history with demonstratable experience.
A strong commitment to teamwork, service delivery, and building effective working relationships with staff and management.
High attention to detail with efficient data entry skills and the ability to work accurately in a fast‑paced environment.
Well‑developed verbal and written communication skills, supported by effective time‑management and prioritisation abilities.
The confidence to show initiative, solve problems, and make sound decisions when required.
An understanding of job workflow processes and SIP systems (or the ability to learn quickly)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using ERP or AX business systems.
Qualifications in Business or Office Administration (desirable but not essential).
