Job Summary:
The successful candidate for this position will be 50% reporting to the Payroll General Ledger Accounting and 50% to the Global Payroll team. The candidate will work hand-in hand with the Payroll and Accounting team on all the compliance and audit related requirements for our Global payroll countries. In addition the candidate will support the team with some Accounting responsibilities and help on other ad hoc reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
PAYROLL GENERAL LEDGER Responsibilities
- Responsible for the submission and completion of all Payroll GL requirements for Tax and financial audits for all Global payroll entities supported by Payroll ADP Streamline team;
- Responsible for the monthly compliance of one of major SOX Internal audit requirement specifically Data comparison and analysis between HR data and Payroll systems’ pay-impacting employee information
- Data collection for internal and external audits
- Reconciliation of some payroll accounts including Employee advances; Social Security advances on Sickness and Maternity benefits for PH-entities with 9,000+ employees
- Reconciliation of other payroll accounts including tax and loan accounts
- Back – up for Payroll GL accounting for small headcount entities
- Ad hoc reporting for Payroll GL
PAYROLL PROCESSING Responsibilities
- Pre and Post Payroll audits
- Contact/Respond to employee inquiries via Footprints Ticketing system, email within 24 hours.
- End to end testing on new processes or payroll computations
- In-depth review of Kronos calculations and shift differentials
- Data comparison and analysis
- Data collection for internal and external audits
- Collaborate with team members on special projects or initiatives
- Handle special projects as needed
- Ad hoc reporting
Education
- Bachelor’s degree graduate in any business or accounting related course or higher
Experience
- Minimum +3 years accounting experience, knowledge of Payroll Accounting is a plus
- Minimum 2 years Payroll experience, strong Excel skills utilizing excel shortcuts a plus
Competencies
- Able to learn and work with different applications and databases; Work Day, SAP, SAP S4 Hanna for Payroll ; ADP Global View systems a plus
- Proficient in MS Excel – pivots, v-look ups and macros
- Reconciliation and GL experience
- Works with a sense of urgency and is proactive
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with an emphasis on quality
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks to completion
- Solutions-oriented with effective problem solving skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Professional demeanor
- Highly proficient in English; must be able to write and converse in a professional manner
- Self-directed, able to work independently
- Ability to work long days during peak periods required
- Keen attention to detail
- Ability to “think outside of the box” and identify methods of streamlining processes and increase efficiency
