Where the team fits in 

This role sits as part of our New Homes sales team. The New Homes team works with property developers, project marketers and media agencies to promote their Projects and New Homes through a suite of world class display and classified media products across Australia’s favourite property websites and mobile apps, realestate.com.au and realcommercial.com.au.

When you join the New Homes team, you join a crossfunctional group of high achievers representing product, IT, sales and marketing, supported by PR, communications, HR, finance, legal – all the people you need to provide exceptional products and services to Australia’s property community. The team is responsible for ensuring the needs of property developers are always at the forefront, as well as creating products our consumers love and customers’ value.

What the role is all about 

In this fixed-term role, you will be a part of our high performing New Homes Sales team. The portfolio serves key customers located in Melbourne.

The Account Partner supports the New Homes team in the following ways: 

  • Ensure revenue targets are met & exceeded each month, quarter and year 
  • Identify key prospects and develop sales proposals to meet the advertisers marketing and sales objectives 
  • Regularly meet with customers to build knowledge of their business while promoting REA’s products and services 
  • Understand the local market, including new site launches, initiatives (within and outside existing client base) and general online industry developments 
  • Build relationships with direct clients and keep abreast of any new developments and revenue opportunities 
  • Proactively seek out new business and revenue opportunities, ensuring there is a sufficient pipeline of new/additional business to meet & exceed targets 
  • Prepare and deliver quality sales presentations and proposals to prospects/agencies 

Who we’re looking for…

To set yourself up for success in this role you will have ideally gained experience in the following areas (helpful talent acquisition tip: you might want to make sure this is on your resume before you submit it):

  • Someone with a few runs on the board ‐ proven sales experience, ideally in media or an online environment 
  • Knowledge of the property developer industry 
  • Sales experience to direct customers as well as ad/media agencies 
  • Good knowledge of advertising processes and strategies 
  • Analytical skills, to enable reporting on client activity 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word 
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Salesforce experience desirable
